Soldering and Flux
When soldering a piece together, it is important to protect the metal with flux. Making sure that the metal is clean, especially the part that is being soldered together is needed to make sure it holds.
Polishing
When finishing a piece, first it needs to be sanded down. Filing down the places where it was soldered will flatten it down so there is no bump there. Once the piece is sanded down and adjusted, it will first be buffed with bobbing then move on to tripoli and finally ending with rouge. This process takes a while to get it shiny.

Bazel Setting
I measured the bagel ring by wrapping the strip of metal around the stone. I then used the chimney method to sweat solder the ring together. I then cut a circle out and began to texture it but left the middle alone to keep a flat surface for the bagel setting. I soldered the bagel ring to the circled made sure the stone fit. I then began to make the ring. I flattened the top of the ring so the circle would lay flat onto and soldered them together. From here I sanded, polished and placed the stone in.
