SAMANTHA SLYKAS

My name is Samantha Slykas, and I have been in 4H for 6 years. I have enlisted in over 15 different projects during my enrollment, and have learned a lot over the years. This will be my first year as an All-Star representative, and I am looking forward to working with my fellow All-star representatives, my other 4H peers, as well as my community.

Some of my other interests include drawing, hiking, biking, and being with my family. I enjoy assisting my mother with different community services, and hosting my annual Self Awareness Event. Many of my interests have been made stronger due to joining 4H.

4H offers the youth ways to grow in a positive manner. We focus projects around the 6C’s, which are confidence, competence, character, caring, connection, and communication.

These are important skills that’ll help lead to the road to success. You’ll gain knowledge when participating in hands-on activities, and learn the values of teamwork. I highly recommend families to join 4H and the community to support our goals and ambitions.
